Have you ever noticed that often times the hardest thing to do is the simplest thing? In that when you get you your Business idea all set up we often times kind of get twisted about it and try to figure out all of the angles for every part of it. We make lists, and draw all kind of mind maps and become focused on what the outcome is going to be like.
If that has not worked for you yet, I have another way to approach things. Rather than making a huge list of things that you need to get done, you concentrate on doing just one thing and concentrate not on the outcome per say but on how you are doing the process. I think that you will be pleasantly surprised out how much more you get done. Instead of writing a whole list of things that you want to get done for the day or the week, you make your list only have the one item that has to be done. Just one.
Then after you accomplish that, you then add another thing. You are not going to forget all of the things that get done, but you will start getting a sense of accomplishment.
You see, if have your own business, or you are even thinking about starting your Muse or Business, you expect more out of yourself than most people.
This is a good thing for the most part, but you also have a tendency to think in a positive fashion so as an
Entrepreneur we have a tendency to think that we can do the impossible all of the time. While we can do this most of the time, we are not going to be able to do this all of the time.
What happens when we do this is that even when we get 26 or 27 of the things we set out to do on any given day because we wrote down 28 or 30, our subconscious registers that day and ourselves as a failure. Even though we got 27 things done and kicked butt, deep in our mind, it still registers and not having done enough. Stop it; it is not good for you.
Try just writing down one thing that you have to do, do it and then write done one other thing that needs to be done. Don’t even think about writing anything else down until you have completely finished whatever it was that you were going to do.
Try this for a week. Then try it for a month. You will see that you productivity and the quality of the work you do is much better.
Now lets us get back to the best way to start. Well here again, start today, do just one thing no matter how big or small but do start and do not wait until tomorrow. If you do this every day you will be surprised at the results.
If anyone deserves a break, it is you. You are going to get there. Next I will write about what is stopping you from becoming a huge success and how to overcome it.
So, remember, just one thing at a time and build success on success.
